“The Neighbours just called me chunky!”
August 25, 2026
I just stepped out to get my Uber Eats delivery of Greek gyros and my two neighbours yelled at me, "Boy you've gotten chunky, Pav!" "You have bigger breasts than me!".
I am a 38 year old male, and still have to deal with body shaming which led to my body dysmorphia.
To put things into perspective, today is August 25th 2026, and I just had torn ACL, LCL and meniscus reconstruction and replacement surgery 3 weeks ago.
I have been pretty much living on my couch, taking naps due to the pain medication. I'm also on antibiotics because the surgical area became infected.
I haven't been able to go to the gym and get full body workouts to burn off the calories I'm consuming. I don't think they realize I can't wake up in the morning and go to do empty stomach fasted cardio to start the day.
I love situations like this though.
A lot of people deal with body shaming and body dysmorphia, unfortunately people are mean, jealous and judgmental. Once you have progress they'll accuse you of cheating somehow.
Currently, I am recovering from knee surgery and can't rush the recovery process. I currently weigh 222.2 pounds and usually weigh around 185.
The plan I am setting in place is, continue taking daily nutritional supplements: fish oil, protein, creatine, glutamine, glucosamine, vitamin d, calcium, zinc, magnesium.
Make it to the gym as often as I can and train upper body.
Maintain portion control and ensure no eating after 8:00pm.
